Informational template, not legal advice. Laws on waivers, releases, and consumer contracts vary by state and change over time. Have a licensed attorney in your state review and adapt this before you use it.

How to use this template

Match your plans

Set your real pricing and billing cadence. Memberships are the revenue anchor of the dog park bar model, so make the terms clear.

Get auto-renewal right

Many states require clear disclosure and easy cancellation for auto-renewing subscriptions. Spell out the charge, the cadence, and how to cancel.

Link the other docs

Sections 4 and 7 reference your rules, waiver, and photo release. Keep all four documents consistent so nothing contradicts.

Store it with the dog

Tie each membership to the dog and owner record, with vaccination status, so renewals and entry checks are effortless.

Questions operators ask

Should a dog park bar use memberships or day passes?

Most successful venues do both: day passes lower the barrier to a first visit, and memberships turn regulars into predictable recurring revenue. Memberships also let you vet dogs once and speed up entry. The model works best when memberships are the anchor.

How do I handle auto-renewal legally?

Auto-renewal laws in several states require clear upfront disclosure of the recurring charge, an affirmative consent, and a simple cancellation path. This template flags those points, but confirm the specifics for your state with your attorney.

Can I cancel a members access for bad behavior?

Yes, if your agreement says so. Section 6 lets you suspend or terminate for rule violations, unpaid fees, or dangerous conduct. Document the reason and apply your policy consistently to reduce disputes.
